Careers Advisers

What is a Careers Advisor?

A Careers Advisor helps you with career decision-making and development,  helps you to make realistic choices about your education, training and work by providing the good, sound  advice, information and guidance. The career advisor role involves assisting you in making decisions about your future and reaching your full potential.

They also help you to broaden your scope and find similar opportunities to give you a better chance. A careers advisor can illuminate some choices that might not have crossed your mind as possible alternatives.

Career consultants may provide some or all of the following:

Help people make choices about education, training and work
Help people use career planning tools and resources and labour market information
Advise them on interview and job search techniques
Arrange work experience and job placements
Explore training and study options
